Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Local Business Development Manager to join their main car brand team based in Swindon. Joining us on a full time permanent basis working 8:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday , you will receive a salary of OTE £40,000 per annum plus benefits including company vehicle, 22 days holiday rising to 26 (plus BH’s) with service, contributory pension, healthcare cash plan and life assurance.
We are recruiting a Local Business Development Manager to establish and build quality relationships with local businesses ensuring that customers make our business their first choice.
Along with maintaining the existing customer base, all business opportunities will need to be examined, identified and developed by you to maximise profitability & to deliver sales targets. Marketing the local business function effectively will also fall within your remit so that brand presence in the local area stands at the forefront. You will review the current market to identify and gain profitable opportunities on an ongoing basis so that potential leads are not missed.
Excellent negotiation skills are required so that you can deliver what is right for the customer and our client’s business whilst providing a high level of customer service at all times.
Whilst you will be working independently as the Local Business Development Manager, you will work alongside other Managers across the Group to tender for new business and to adhere to any service level agreements.
We will be looking for candidates that are target driven with a tenacious approach to achieving result. An automotive sales background is highly desirable for this Local Business Development Manager role but candidates with proven B2B experience in other sectors will be considered.
